Florida strawberry season begins as FSGA launches new marketing campaign
The Florida Strawberry Growers Association announced that Florida’s strawberry season is officially underway. Fields across the state are filled with peak-season, vibrant strawberries, arriving in stores just in time to brighten holiday tables.
As shoppers prepare for festive gatherings, Florida strawberries offer flavorful, fresh-from-the-farm varieties that deliver the ideal color and taste for holiday recipes. From desserts to simple snacks, the berries remain a seasonal favorite for families. To inspire home cooks, FSGA has released a collection of holiday recipes at FloridaStrawberries.org.
This season, consumers will also see a fresh wave of advertising from FSGA designed to highlight the taste and quality of Florida-grown berries. The campaign, developed by Blackmon Media Group, will reach targeted shoppers across digital platforms including streaming video, streaming audio and social media. Promotions will guide shoppers to retailers that carry Fresh From Florida strawberries.
“Our goal this year is simple: make it effortless for shoppers to choose Florida strawberries and enjoy the freshness they expect from our growers,” said Sue Harrel, FSGA director of marketing. “We’re excited to bring even more visibility to our berries through a creative and robust marketing campaign that promotes our fruit to the shoppers of our retail partners.”

Harrel said expanded marketing efforts coincide with additional farmland acquisitions aimed at increasing production. “We’re poised to bring our marketing efforts to the next level, reaching more consumers and supporting our growers,” she said.
