Plant Grow Harvest showcased Digs potato innovation at the 2025 New York Produce Show
Plant Grow Harvest, a vertically integrated grower, packer and shipper of fresh potatoes with farms across the United States, participated in the New York Produce Show held Dec. 2–4. As the company continued expanding its potato portfolio and year-round fresh supply, PGH used NYPS as a platform to showcase its newest brand developments, merchandising solutions and advancements in proprietary seed breeding.
At Booth No. 160, PGH highlighted the success of its two flagship consumer brands, Tasty Little Digs and Big! Digs, both of which helped redefine clarity, flavor and consistency in the potato category.
Launched earlier in the year, Tasty Little Digs introduced shoppers to a vibrant line of petite, flavor-forward potatoes — including creamers, fingerlings and organics — that made their retail debut in March 2025. Celebrated for their taste, convenience and versatility, Tasty Little Digs continued to meet consumer demand for quick, nutritious meal solutions without compromising flavor.
Building on that momentum, PGH introduced Big! Digs at IFPA 2025, offering a bold, unified approach to mainstream potato marketing with russets, reds and yellows. Designed to address longstanding label clutter, Big! Digs brought a clean, consistent brand identity that simplified shopping and elevated the consumer experience.
“As we headed into NYPS, our focus was on helping retailers succeed with a simplified, modern approach to potato merchandising,” said Dave Yeager, chief sales officer at Plant Grow Harvest. “Both Tasty Little Digs and Big! Digs resonated because they brought flavor, clarity and trust back to the potato aisle, and we were excited to showcase how these brands could elevate the category across the East Coast and beyond.”
Alongside its brand innovation, PGH expanded its proprietary seed breeding program to develop potato varieties optimized for flavor, quality and sustainability. Supported by a multi-region network of growing operations, PGH supplied fresh-dug potatoes for nine months of the year, an uncommon achievement that ensured consistent freshness for retailers and consumers.
At NYPS, PGH shared insights into its breeding advancements and its collaborative approach to driving category growth through simplified merchandising and consumer-focused branding.
