Bee Sweet Citrus elevates premium line with new look, seasonal story
Bee Sweet Citrus is adding fresh energy to its premium citrus line this season, introducing new packaging and retail displays that spotlight the fruit’s limited availability and standout flavor.
“The line came to fruition when our team decided to highlight the exclusivity of each of the varieties while celebrating their unique characteristics,” said Monique Mueller, Bee Sweet’s director of communications. “Each variety was incredibly unique in both flavor and taste, and only available for a limited time.”
The premium program features Royal Red Oranges, Pummelos, Golden Gem Grapefruit, and Heirloom Navel Oranges, offered in both bag and bulk packs. Each item comes with newly designed cartons and display bins that make it easy for retailers to build vibrant, attention-grabbing sets.
Bee Sweet’s premium citrus windows stretch from October through June, giving retailers months of opportunity to rotate in distinctive varieties. Pummelos run October through March, Golden Gems from mid-October through January, Royal Reds from December through June, and Heirloom Navels from January through May.
“The winter season offered a plethora of opportunities for retailers to promote Bee Sweet’s premium fruit varieties,” Mueller said. “Many of these fruits also complemented specific holidays, making them easy to market in the produce aisle.”
That includes Pummelos for Lunar New Year and Golden Gems during the heart of winter — both packaged with seasonal cues that connect to how families traditionally enjoy them.
To extend visibility beyond the store, Bee Sweet relaunched The Buzz at Bee Sweet, a digital campaign entering its second season. The series highlights seasonal varieties and shares influencer-driven content and recipe inspiration for consumers.
“Over the last few years, we saw more shoppers utilize citrus in creative ways,” Mueller said. “The combination of eye-catching packaging and digital storytelling drew attention to these varieties and encouraged consumers to try something new.”
With shoppers seeking vibrant flavor and healthy indulgence through the winter months, Bee Sweet’s premium citrus line delivers both. For retailers, it’s a timely opportunity to turn limited-season fruit into lasting category excitement.
