Hapco Farms hires Kevin Fix to lead carrot program
Hapco Farms, a leading East Coast grower-shipper based in Westhampton Beach, NY, has hired Kevin Fix as vice president of business development, with a primary focus on advancing the company’s carrot program across Florida and Canada.
Fix brings more than 24 years of experience in fresh produce, CPG, distribution, logistics and transportation — most recently with Bolthouse Cos.
In his new role, Fix will lead sales strategies and operational improvements across both carrot locations, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. He joins the team as Hapco Farms continues to invest in its North American carrot infrastructure, including the new Old Town, FL, facility, as well as AI equipment enhancements at MR Farms.
While his initial priorities will center on carrots, Fix will also play a key role in expanding the company’s sales channels and growing programs for broccoli, onions, potatoes, mini potatoes, greens and wet vegetables. He will work across the ADS Management family of companies, which includes Hapco Farms, MR Farms, Freshouse and Barnwood Valley Farms.
“Having Kevin join the team is an extension of our mission to grow and harvest on the East Coast — improving product quality, reducing shrinkage and shortening the time from field to table,” said Eric Scannelli, chief operating officer of Hapco Farms. “A major focus in his new role will be building new business pipelines, elevating the brand nationally and driving consistent, profitable year-over-year growth.”
Fix will represent Hapco at the New York Produce Show. Visitors can stop at booth No. 315 to meet with him and learn more about his new role.
