Little Leaf Farms reflects on success and growth, with more to come
Little Leaf Farms has seen remarkable growth since harvesting its first crop of baby lettuce in 2015, and it will celebrate that success at the upcoming IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show in Anaheim, CA.
“Consumers are increasingly choosing our fresher, more flavorful greens over field-grown greens,” said Paul Sellew, founder and CEO of Little Leaf Farms, based in Devens, MA. “Our continued expansion is a testament to our belief in and commitment to the promising future of indoor-grown leafy greens.”
Little Leaf Farms recently broke ground on a new facility in Manchester, TN, which is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2026, and also opened a fourth 10-acre greenhouse in McAdoo, PA. With 40 acres of greenhouses now in operation, the McAdoo campus is one of the largest indoor leafy greens growing facilities in the world.
Little Leaf Farms is one of the fastest-growing packaged salad brands in the country and is the No. 1 CEA packaged salad brand in the U.S., according to Nielsen. The company is excited to wear that badge at the IFPA show, where it will be an exhibitor for the second straight year and will feature its line of salad kits and its recently launched Romaine leaf lettuce.
“Romaine is a staple in households across the country, and we saw a real opportunity to elevate this everyday favorite,” said Chris Hill, chief revenue officer at Little Leaf Farms. “By growing our leafy greens in a controlled environment, we’re offering consumers a crisp, fresh Romaine they’ll love, grown in a way they can feel good about.”
At the 2024 IFPA show, Little Leaf captured the Best First Time Exhibitor Award, and the company is looking forward to bringing the same energy to this year’s show. Visitors to the Little Leaf booth (No. 4569) will have an opportunity to visit with Sellew, Hill and a number of others from the sales, logistics and marketing teams.
