Progressive Produce ready to highlight its uniqueness at IFPA Global
For Progressive Produce, the International Fresh Produce Association’s Global Produce & Floral Show isn’t just another trade show — it’s a highlight of the year.
“We know IFPA is the moment to put on our best suit,” said Oscar Guzman, vice president of marketing and sales. “It’s the only time the entire produce community comes together under one roof.”
Progressive Produce has a long history of participating in the IFPA Show and its predecessor, the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit. Guzman said the show is an invaluable opportunity to showcase Progressive Produce products, reconnect with partners and meet new industry players.
“The energy on the show floor is unmatched,” he said. “It’s the one event where growers, shippers, retailers and buyers all come together, making it an ideal space to strengthen existing relationships while opening the door to new ones.”
Exhibiting at IFPA allows Progressive to put its best work on display at booth No. 2891. This year, the spotlight is on innovation and variety. The company will be highlighting its three-pound Murasaki yams, one-pound Tidbit Fingerlings and value-added fresh herb line.
“Exhibiting isn’t just about visibility,” Guzman said. “It’s about creating a memorable experience for visitors and showing them what makes Progressive unique.”
The company heads to Anaheim, CA, with clear goals: to deepen customer relationships, build new connections and highlight both its product innovation and company values.
“This is about more than just produce,” Guzman said. “It’s about sharing our story, our sustainability journey and the partnerships that keep this industry moving forward.”
No Progressive booth would be complete without a culinary experience, he said. This year, visitors can sample the company’s signature Hollywood Fries and sweet Murasaki yams. “These dishes capture both flavor and heritage,” Guzman explains. “They’re a way to bring our produce to life and give people a taste of why we’re so passionate about what we grow and ship.”
Backing up these offerings are recent investments in high-tech potato packing lines, advanced sorting systems and operational upgrades that ensure efficiency and quality. Just as important is the company’s commitment to sustainability, Guzman said. Progressive recently released its inaugural Rooted Sustainability Report, setting clear goals around packaging, food waste reduction and environmental impact. Its Nature’s Bounty organic brand continues to expand, showcasing the company’s dedication to meeting consumer demand for responsibly grown products.
“Our mission is to deliver not just produce, but purpose,” Guzman said.
With flavor-forward options and convenience driving growth across grocery stores, Progressive remains focused on staying ahead of the curve.
“Consumer preferences are evolving quickly — from fresh-cut produce to bold new flavors,” Guzman said. “We stay on top of trends by working closely with retailers, paying attention to consumer feedback, and making sure innovation and quality are at the center of everything we do.”
As Progressive prepares for another IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show, the excitement is clear, he said. With innovative products, a strong sustainability vision and a booth full of flavor, the company is ready to make an impact in Anaheim.
“We’re looking forward to reconnecting, sharing what’s new and showing how Progressive continues to grow with purpose,” Guzman said.
