Red Sun Farms gearing up for strong IFPA Global Show
Red Sun Farms is one of the largest vertically integrated, high-tech greenhouses in North America to own and operate farms in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
“The biggest buzz at Red Sun Farms is our continued commitment to strengthening supplier relationships built on honesty, integrity and transparency,” said Harold Paivarinta, vice president of sales and business development for the Kingsville, ON-based company. “We believe these values are the foundation for long-term success. Additionally, the team remains focused on innovation and growth — constantly reviewing opportunities to bring new ideas, products and processes to the market.”
The company will soon be headed to the IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show, where its sales and marketing teams will be well-represented, ready to discuss innovation strategies, crop updates and what’s new at Red Sun Farms.
“IFPA Global is a must-attend event that highlights the produce, floral and supporting supply industries,” Paivarinta said. “We look forward to reconnecting with our customers and introducing new partners to our unique seed-to-plate difference.”
Attendees can visit Red Sun Farms at booth No. 1883, where its team will highlight product offerings, unveil new innovations and technologies and share insights on industry challenges, supply strategies and future opportunities.
“At Red Sun Farms, we continue to collaborate closely with our partners to better understand and respond to evolving customer needs,” Paivarinta said. “We’re seeing shifts such as changing buying patterns influenced by GLP-1 usage, increased store visit frequency and stronger demand for product promotions that support meal solutions. By staying aligned with these trends, we’re able to adapt our strategies and deliver greater value to both our partners and their customers.”
There will also be a focus on networking, which he noted was absolutely critical across all levels of the organization.
“Events like this bring together an incredible concentration of industry knowledge, insights and shared experiences,” Paivarinta said. “For us, it’s not only about strengthening existing partnerships but also about exploring new opportunities, exchanging ideas and identifying innovative approaches that can shape our 2026 plans and beyond. The relationships and insights gained through these conversations are key drivers of our continued growth and long-term success.”
At the show, team members anticipate that much of the conversation will center around the ongoing impact of duties, shifts in consumer shopping habits and how households are adjusting their buying decisions in response to tighter budgets.
“In addition, our team will support our partners in meeting their goals for value-added products, innovation to support convenience and meal solutions and strategies for maintaining strong supply chains in a challenging global market,” Paivarinta said. “A successful show provides the opportunity to reconnect with our retail partners, align on shared goals for 2025 and initiate planning discussions for 2026.”
Red Sun Farms continues to remain focused on a path of expansion, innovation and growth.
“The greenhouse industry has faced unprecedented challenges in recent years and there’s been a substantial shift in the players as a result,” Paivarinta said. “Red Sun Farms has built incredibly strong, collaborative relationships and we pride ourselves in adhering to our core values while ensuring honesty, integrity and transparency is paramount in all aspects of our relationships. Now, more than ever, we will double-down on what’s made us successful as it will ensure our position in the industry for many years to come.”
