New equipment, facility upgrades give Eagle Eye an edge with Idaho potatoes
Eagle Eye Produce is seeing a smooth start to the Idaho potato harvest, with progress running ahead of schedule compared to last year. The company credits the improvement to new field equipment and ongoing investments in its Idaho Falls warehouse.
“Harvest has gone very well so far,” said Coleman Oswald, director of sales. “With more efficient equipment in the field, we are able to harvest more acres per day and expect to finish quicker than we did last season, all while maintaining strong quality across our packs.”
In Idaho Falls, Eagle Eye is continuing to strengthen its infrastructure with new packing equipment, adding to the AI-powered graders and sorters the company announced earlier this year.
Eagle Eye has also installed RPC lines and equipment that expand its small pack and value-add retail capabilities, giving customers more options in how product is delivered.
Along with these investments, Eagle Eye continues to offer a year-round Russet, red and yellow potato program, providing customers with steady supply and consistent quality across all major varieties.
“These investments make us more efficient and more consistent in how we move product to market,” Oswald said. “It also allows us to offer more options and better service to our customers.”
With its Idaho potato harvest progressing steadily and facility upgrades in motion, Eagle Eye Produce enters the new season with added strength to support customers.
