Homegrown Organic Farms has taken the next step in the growth of its organic citrus program by partnering with Buena Vista Packing in Kern County, CA. This strategic alliance allows Homegrown to expand capacity and provide customers with increased convenience through an additional loading location in the southern San Joaquin Valley.

Through this new partnership, Homegrown Organic Farms will handle organic citrus from Buena Vista’s farms, representing a 20 percent increase in program volume. The added supply also introduces an additional varietal into the program, the Daisy mandarin, further strengthening Homegrown’s ability to provide consistent, reliable organic citrus offerings for retail and foodservice partners.

With this expansion, Homegrown strengthens its ability to provide a robust organic citrus program while maintaining supply year-round. Customers will also benefit from improved logistics, with Kern County offering an additional and convenient loading option alongside Homegrown’s Kingsburg and Riverside facilities in California.

Alongside this new facility partnership in Bakersfield, Homegrown Organic Farms will continue operating from its Kingsburg cold storage and Riverside loading facilities, reinforcing its long-term commitment to growers and customers alike.

With citrus season quickly approaching, the team is ready to support customers with a full range of organic citrus, from core varieties like Navels and Lemons to specialty offerings like Minneolas and Pummelo.
