Changes in the management team of Van Zanten Breeding
Changes in the management team of Van Zanten Breeding
As of Oct. 1, Van Zanten Breeding will implement a new management structure. Joost Kos will assume the role of managing director, while Maarten Goos and Martijn Swinkels will step down from their positions in daily management.
This strategic decision, made by the board of directors, reflects the company’s readiness to move forward with a streamlined leadership team. Following years of significant investment and transformation, Van Zanten Breeding is now positioned to build on the strength of its middle management, valuable genetics portfolio, and a clear strategic vision.
Maarten Goos and Martijn Swinkels will remain closely involved with the company as shareholders. In addition, Goos will continue in his role as managing director of Koninklijke Van Zanten B.V.
This leadership change marks a natural evolution for the company, highlighting the progress made in strengthening the organization and refining its focus. The commitment remains unchanged: to develop strong plant varieties, drive market success in partnership with stakeholders, and maintain ongoing investment in plant quality and innovation.
For customers and partners, day-to-day operations will remain consistent. There are no changes to team roles or responsibilities, and Van Zanten Breeding will continue to pursue successful, sustainable collaborations with the same dedication and passion as always.
