Sparky’s Transportation names new CFO
Sparky’s Transportation Corp., a Clarks Summit, PA-based transportation provider for fresh produce, has named Anika Sehne as its chief financial officer.
Sehne, who began her new role in May, first joined the company three years ago as an intern. She also served as assistant to the CFO of Race-West and Philip G. Ball, sister companies of Sparky’s.
A graduate of the University of Scranton who was the recipient of the university’s 2025 Excellence in International Business Award, Sehne earned her bachelor’s degree while working, gaining real-world and classroom knowledge together. She is currently pursuing her MBA at the university while working full time for Sparky’s Transportation.
Sehne is tasked with creating a new division of Sparky’s that will focus on providing on-time, safe, reasonably priced transportation services to a wide range of customers. In her role she will look for driven individuals to come and join the Spark’s team.
“Sparky’s is a great business with amazing people,” said Sehne. “I am grateful for the opportunity to elevate them — and all who do business with them — to greater success.”
"After watching Anika in her work as assistant to the CFO of Race-West and Philip G. Ball Co., it was an easy decision to offer her this position,” said Harris Cutler, president and owner of Sparky's Transportation. “Our excellent services backed by our companies’ 50 years of experience in freight contracting will now be available to outside produce companies and companies needing expert topflight transportation services.”
