Whole Foods Market opened the third location of its smaller format store concept, Whole Foods Market Daily Shop, located in Hell’s Kitchen. The 8,500-square-foot store features more than 400 local items from the Northeast, each meeting Whole Foods Market’s rigorous quality standards.
“I am honored to help open the third Whole Foods Market Daily Shop in New York City. This neighborhood is very dynamic — we’re steps away from great entertainment and some of the best restaurants in the City,” said Joel Jimenez, store team leader for Whole Foods Market Daily Shop. “If you need a quick lunch, some ingredients on your way home from work, or if you’re stopping in for dinner to-go ahead of a show, we’re ready to serve you!”
As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting local communities, Whole Foods Market contributed product to support the work of New York Common Pantry. Whole Foods Market will also make a donation to local nonprofit Hell’s Kitchen Farm Project.
In May, Whole Foods Market opened its second Whole Foods Market Daily Shop location in the East Village’s StuyTown development. Future Whole Foods Market Daily Shop locations are also planned for Hoboken, NJ, and Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood. Additionally, the first location in the Washington, DC, area is planned for the Crystal City neighborhood of Arlington, VA.
