Giorgio Fresh bringing new mushroom innovations to SEPC
Giorgio Fresh, a leading mushroom producer, is heading to Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Exposure show to reveal its latest innovations in the segment, including its new Hot N’ Spicy Stuffed Mushrooms in Sriracha, Nashville Hot and Jalapeño, as well as its Stuffed Jalapeño Peppers with Imitation Bacon and Cheese.
“Consumers are craving bold flavors and convenience, and retailers are capitalizing on these trends by offering ready-to-cook, flavorful products that cater to time-strapped shoppers and spice-loving foodies,” said Bryan Shelton, vice president of sales and marketing for the Blandon, PA-based company. “We’re here to connect with retailers and buyers, share merchandising strategies and discuss how our products can enhance their offerings.”
Giorgio Fresh will be at booth No. 829 at the show, where attendees can sample its latest products and learn how these products align with consumer demand for bold flavors and easy-meal solutions.
“We expect to see continued discussions around value-added produce and how globally inspired flavors are driving consumer interest,” Shelton said. “Shoppers are looking for convenience without compromising on flavor, and retailers are responding with more pre-stuffed, ready-to-cook and meal-enhancing options.”
For the company, Southern Exposure provides the perfect setting to strengthen relationships with retail partners, gain insights into their needs and explore new business opportunities.
“Face-to-face conversations are invaluable for building trust and collaboration in this industry,” Shelton said. “SEPC has always been an important event for Giorgio. The show consistently brings together top retailers, buyers, and industry leaders, making it a prime opportunity for meaningful connections and product showcases.”
When it’s over, a successful SEPC for Giorgio means establishing relationships, gaining valuable insights, and showcasing these latest innovations.
“If we leave with stronger partnerships, a clearer understanding of where the market is heading and excitement around our new products, it’s a win,” Shelton said.
Giorgio Fresh offers white mushrooms, brown mushrooms, exotic mushrooms (shiitake, maitake, royal trumpets, oyster, beech), organic mushrooms (white whole, white sliced, baby Bella whole, port caps, port sliced, shiitake), dried mushrooms (black trumpet, chanterelle, lobster, morel, oyster, paddy straw, porcini, portabella, shiitake sliced, shiitake whole, soup blend, stir fry, wood ear) and stuffed mushrooms (imitation bacon and cheddar, imitation crab seasoning, artichoke and spinach, fiesta, Mediterranean and buffalo blue cheese, garlic parm).
Looking to 2025, the company is committed to staying ahead of consumer trends with ongoing product innovation from its R&D team.
“Whether it’s expanding our line of value-added products, introducing new flavor profiles or enhancing our supply chain efficiencies, our focus is on growth that meets the evolving needs of both retailers and consumers,” Shelton said.
