Red Sun Farms showcasing Empress Limited Edition Tomatoes at Southern Exposure
Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Exposure holds significant importance for the Red Sun Farms team.
“This is a key event for the produce industry, providing a platform to build meaningful relationships that drive long-term growth and collaboration,” said Harold Paivarinta, vice president of sales and business development for the Kingsville, ON-based company. “This unique show showcases industry innovation, fosters discussions with customers and peers and offers valuable educational sessions on trends and consumer insights in fresh produce.”
So, it’s no surprise that Red Sun Farms is excited to participate, and it plans to highlight its latest product innovations, sustainable packaging solutions and business growth plans.
“As we look to the future, we remain committed to aligning our strategies with our customers’ goals and objectives, ensuring we continue to meet their evolving needs in a dynamic marketplace,” Paivarinta said. “Our sales, marketing and leadership teams will be well-represented at this event, ready to discuss key business strategies, crop updates and innovation initiatives.”
Visitors to the Red Sun Farms booth No. 703 can expect to learn about Red Sun Farms’ latest product innovation, Empress Limited Edition Tomatoes, and get the chance to explore the company’s sustainable packaging journey and experience its “out of this world Sweetpops difference.”
“Retailers will be eager to learn about our readiness for market shifts, supply availability and ability to meet evolving market demands,” Paivarinta said. “Consumer trends continue to prioritize value amid inflation, with sustainability remaining a key consideration — provided it does not come at a significant cost.”
The team is also eager to take part in SEPC’s various events, including receptions and educational sessions, which he noted provide industry insights and opportunities for collaboration.
“The Power of Produce is key highlight for our team,” Paivarinta said. “No matter the individual area of discipline, these sessions continue to produce insight and inspiration across the business. However the Red Sun Farms will be present from the opening reception to the closing gala, these events are not to be missed.”
Still, the team looks most forward to forging new relationships that will serve as a foundation for long-term growth and success.
“Our primary expectation for SEPC events is to focus on networking and relationship-building,” Paivarinta said. “SEPC provides a valuable platform that unites the produce community, facilitating the renewal of existing connections, the establishment of new partnerships, educational advancements and industry collaboration.”
Red Sun Farms has been a proud supporter of SEPC since its inception, with team members actively contributing to various committees and serving on the board.
“Southern Exposure is a dynamic three-day event filled with networking opportunities and valuable educational content,” Paivarinta said. “This show provides the perfect setting to reconnect with industry partners and cultivate new relationships. Our team is eager to engage with fresh connections that will serve as a foundation for continued growth and long-term partnerships.”
A successful show, he added, provides the opportunity to reconnect with retail partners, align on shared goals for 2025 and initiate planning discussions for 2026.
Looking on the horizon, the Red Sun Farms team is excited to focus on product innovation, advanced greenhouse technology and sustainability to drive future growth.
“These efforts will not only drive our business forward but also contribute positively to the industry and environment,” Paivarinta said.
