Salyer American's new website offers weekly crop updates
MONTEREY, CA -- Salyer American Fresh Foods announced Dec. 8 that its new website is now on-line at www.salyeramerican.com.
Among its many useful features is a unique, easy-to-use link to crop updates by commodity. Produce buyers can click the crop update button at the top of the page to learn the latest information on crop appearance, quality and availability.
Featured commodities include broccoli, cauliflower, celery, green onions, Iceberg lettuce, leaf lettuce and Romaine. Crop updates are done weekly and posted at 10 a.m. PST each Saturday.
Allan Sabatier, Salyer's senior vice president of sales and marketing, said that this innovative feature highlights the entire commodity crop, not just what his company grows and sells. "As an industry leader, we have a responsibility to be as proactive as we can and to help our customers plan ahead as much as possible", Mr. Sabatier said in a press release.
Salyer American Fresh Foods has operations in the prime growing regions of California and Arizona. It markets its full line of field-pack under the "American Classic" brand as well as packs under several private labels.
