BAKERSFIELD, CA -- Sun World International LLC has named Gordon L. Robertson its vice president of sales and marketing, Chief Marketing Officer David Marguleas announced in mid-December.
Mr. Robertson assumes responsibility for all U.S. and international sales and marketing activities and staff. He joins Sun World from Campbell Soup Co., where he spent 20 years in various sales and trade marketing management roles and where he most recently served as vice president of joint business planning.
"Gordon brings strong food industry knowledge, a passion for managing sales professionals and a desire for Sun World to exceed its customers' and consumers' expectations," Mr. Marguleas said in a Dec. 16 statement.
Mr. Robertson takes on duties previously held by Michael J. Aiton, who assumes new responsibilities as senior vice president of retail merchandising. In Mr. Aiton's new role, he will support Sun World's North American retail clientele in promoting Sun World products and brands.
"Our customers will benefit from Mike's creativity and rich knowledge of Sun World's distinctive product line and Gordon's passion and knowledge of the food industry. Mr. Robertson earned his bachelor of science degree in marketing from Oregon State University. He, his wife, Debra, and two children are relocating from New Jersey to Bakersfield, CA, where he will be based at the company's new downtown headquarters.
