Industry veterans tapped to help Dulcinea's expansion
As part of its plan for future growth, Dulcinea Farms, based in Ladera Ranch, CA, has reinforced its sales and operations departments with the hiring of two industry veterans.
John McGuigan, who held senior management positions at Sunkist Growers Inc., is now vice president of sales and marketing, and Frank Mejia, formerly general manager of the Southwest production unit at Del Monte Fresh Produce, is now senior manager of Dulcinea's Mexican operations.
"We are delighted to welcome John and Frank to our dynamic team," Luzius Caviezel, general manager of Dulcinea Farms, said in a press release. "The additions of these two senior professionals will help us exceed our customers' and vendors' expectations as we reinforce our management structure and execute ambitious expansion plans. Our goal is to consistently deliver the 'Dulcinea' brand promise and premium service every day."
At Sunkist, Mr. McGuigan successfully led sales and operations, built solid business relationships and continuously improved efficiencies and strengthened the brand equity. With his proven track record in sales, his first priority at Dulcinea Farms will be to build a comprehensive and powerful sales and customer service team.
With solid and proven knowledge in growing melons and watermelons on a large production scale, Mr. Mejia will be charged with enforcing the strict Dulcinea quality standards and strengthening relationships with current and new grower partners.
Dulcinea Farms continues to build on its successes with its solution-based approach for consumers and retailers, and is now aggressively expanding its offerings and ramping up off-shore programs, the release said.
