Patrick Delaney joins United Fresh
The United Fresh Produce Association announced the hiring of Patrick Delaney to the newly created post of communications manager. He will handle all incoming press inquiries, as well as research and proactive media outreach. Additionally, he will play a key role in providing content development and editing for United Fresh publications.
"Being new to the industry, I'm continually impressed with the level of candor and eagerness to help shown by our members. I look forward to meeting and working with each of them in the months and years to come," said Mr. Delaney, who joined the association Sept. 8.
A 27-year-old native of Kansas City, MO, Mr. Delaney previously was an associate and head of research for the Bethesda, MD-based public relations firm ZComm, where he oversaw media research, planning and project management for General Motors, M&M/Mars, Unilever, Procter & Gamble and British Petroleum/AMPM. Before that, he was promotions coordinator at Clear Channel in Washington, DC.
He earned a bachelor's degree in political and persuasive communication from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.
