Indianapolis Fruit's Winning at Retail show hailed as a success
Building on its highly successful educational seminar last year, Indianapolis Fruit Co. in Indianapolis delivered yet another energetic and educational seminar and product showcase in March.
With well over 350 industry-leading retailers, grower-shippers and produce agencies in attendance, Indianapolis Fruit hosted its third annual educational seminar and product showcase titled Winning at Retail III: Customer Service I.D.E.A.S. for Better Sales & Profit.
According to Indianapolis Fruit, in this increasingly competitive marketplace, the key to success is differentiation -- and in turn transforming that difference into increased sales growth. With this fundamental theme in mind, the company established a full-service program that provided its guests with the tools needed to transform their departments and in turn their stores into a true destination for their customers.
Indianapolis Fruit created an educational training workshop with the help of Pete Luckett and Joe Hynes, two distinguished presenters who both have multiple years of experience in educating retailers across the United States.
In addition to the lively and informative presentations, an educational panel was created to further provide a full-picture approach to the seminar, specifically educating attendees about the importance of the Healthy Food & Children's Marketing Movement and about being prepared to capitalize on this very important industry trend. The panelists were Elizabeth Pivonka from the Produce for Better Health Foundation, Bob Koehler from the Pear Bureau Northwest, Angie Frost from Crawfordsville [IN] School System, and Vince Mastromauro from Illinois retailer Sunset Foods.
Indianapolis Fruit said that it is committed to turning retail produce departments into true destination departments. "We will accomplish this through our tireless pursuit of education, new products and trends, and by offering you, the customer, our many years of experience to accommodate your needs on the path to success," according to a company statement.
