'Green Giant Fresh' and 'Fresh Gourmet' launch promotion
The Sholl Group II, the marketer of selected "Green Giant Fresh" produce products, and Sugar Foods, manufacturer of "Fresh Gourmet" brand crispy onions, announced the launch of a new promotion that gives a fresh twist to the traditional fresh green bean casserole.
The program is a 75-cent instant redeemable coupon that will be affixed to each bag of "Green Giant Fresh" green beans that will offer instant savings of 75 cents when "Green Giant Fresh" green beans and "Fresh Gourmet" crispy onions are purchased. A fresh green bean casserole recipe remains on the bag of green beans when the coupon is removed.
This promotion, which began March 1 and runs through March 21, will be available at select grocery retail stores nationwide.
"This cross-promotion will enable retailers to merchandise 'Fresh Gourmet' crispy onions next to our 'Green Giant Fresh' green beans to maximize results," Sarah Wangler, marketing manager for The Sholl Group II, said in a press release.
"Fresh Gourmet is proud to partner with a company the caliber of Green Giant, and to be a key player in enticing co-promotions that drive sales in produce," Brandon Steele, vice president of marketing for Fresh Gourmet, added in the press release.
