Anthony Totta, a produce consultant with 30 years of experience in fresh produce procurement, supply chain management, sales and distribution, has launched Grow My Profits, a produce consultancy designed to help growers maximize their returns by making sound investments, streamlining their operations and minimizing waste.
Grow My Profits, based in Lee's Summit, MO, was established to guide growers in the development of successful operational and marketing strategies in response to changing consumer demands and industry requirements.
"We look at every aspect of a producer's business -- from the crops that they're growing to the delivery systems that they're using -- to determine how to most effectively increase revenues," Mr. Totta stated in a press release.
Grow My Profits conducts a detailed analysis of a producer's business to determine if the product mix is favorable and, if so, to whom it should be marketed. The company then helps growers to build customer relationships with key decision-makers in the wholesale food, supermarket and restaurant industries.
"It is vitally important for a grower to understand who their customers are and to be able to identify their needs and desires," Mr. Totta added in the press release. "Only with this understanding can growers determine how to ensure customer satisfaction, and, as a result, increase profitability."
Issues such as food storage and safety are also evaluated, thus enabling producers to proactively address any areas with the potential to affect business or hurt public health.
