Del Monte Fresh Produce will be showcasing the fresh cut fruit and vegetable line from its distribution facility in Oshawa, Ontario, at the Canadian Produce Marketing Association’s Annual Convention & Trade Show in Calgary on April 12-14.

“Del Monte” brand fresh cut products are prepared and packaged in its facilities, which are equipped with state-of-the-art processing equipment.

“Our facilities operate under strict food-safety and quality management systems,” said Dionysios Christou, vice president of marketing for Del Monte Fresh Produce.

We offer a range of party trays and pack sizes, in a variety of packaging types and of different cuts.”

He added that the company will also present its core items, such as bananas, pineapples, melons and deciduous fruits during the expo.

Del Monte Fresh Produce will be represented by several members of its Canadian and U.S. sales and marketing teams at its booth, No. 517, at the event.

Christou noted that Canadian retailers, wholesalers, producers and importers from several countries attend the CPMA expo.

“We are always excited about the CPMA show, primarily because we conduct a lot of business in Canada,” he added. “It’s a great venue, and a good opportunity to see many of the accounts we sell. In addition, we like the convention itself, and find it a great platform to showcase new and existing products. We also expect to be able to meet with current and potential customers in an environment where there is high interest in conducting business.”

Canadian consumers, Christou explained, continue to change their eating habits in a way that aligns with their busy lives.
