Bob Meek named CEO of Utah Onions

Utah Onions Inc., a leading grower-shipper-marketer of fresh onions based in Syracuse, UT, announced the appointment of Bob Meek as chief executive officer. The appointment is effective April 4.Bob-Meek-4

Meek was president of Wada Farms Marketing Group in Idaho Falls, ID, where he was integral in expanding the company’s marketing presence both domestically and internationally. In addition to his focus on fresh products, Meek established a significant logistical services company, a category management advisory company and a sustainable packaging company.

Prior to Wada Farms, Meek held executive positions with Del Monte Fresh Produce, Potandon Produce and Mercer Ranches.

“As chief executive officer, Bob will direct the refinement of our operational efficiencies, business development and company growth into the years ahead,” Shawn Hartley, vice president and owner of Utah Onions, said in a press release. “His understanding and extensive experience in all facets of our business will be greatly appreciated.”
