SunFed promoting spring and summer line at Viva Fresh
Although the firm is based in Nogales, SunFed has long-distributed volumes of Mexican produce through South Texas. The firm operates a full-line warehouse in Pharr, TX.
This spring construction is starting on a new, full-line warehouse, also in Pharr, which gives SunFed all the more reason to be active in the Viva Fresh Expo, according to Brett Burdsal, SunFed’s vice president of marketing. The new warehouse won’t be completed until next spring.
At the upcoming San Antonio meeting, SunFed representatives will not only speak with Texas customers but a national customer base, touting the benefits of working in south Texas, Burdsal indicated. “The show was very well-received last year. It will be even better this year. It’s a great time for us to be there.”
In San Antonio, Burdsal and his colleagues will discuss the firm’s expanding spring and summer programs. This includes larger volumes of mini-sweet peppers, Roma and Beefsteak tomatoes, as well as the new line of organic White and Graffiti eggplant. The firm also continues its purple organic eggplant offering. SunFed will also continue the introduction of its new “MelonHeads”-brand seedless mini-watermelons.
“We have some great organic partners coming in. We are very excited to get there and share our excitement” in San Antonio.
Generally speaking, he added, “We are leveraging our past success during the summer to partner with key customers to give them year-round access to ‘Perfect Produce’,” which is SunFed’s branded theme.
