New York Apple Sales announces exciting new partnerships
Glenmont, NY-based York Apple Sales will be showcasing its “KORU” branded apples and Honeycrisp apples from Scotian Gold at the Southeast Produce Council’s 2016 Southern Exposure “Produce in Paradise” expo and conference on March 3-5 in Hollywood, FL.
Owner and President Kaari Stannard said the company will be at booth No.1011. On hand will be John Cushing and Mike Harwood, sales representatives.
“David Cudmore of Scotian Gold Cooperative in Nova Scotia, our Canadian partner will also join us at the expo,” she added. “New York Apple Sales has been a member of SEPC since its inception, and we have exhibited since the very first show.
“We like the show due to its broad customer attendance,” Stannard continued. “It affords us the opportunity to meet many of our current customers to discuss New York Apple Sales and our capabilities with future customers.”
She added that the show is intimate and provides a great opportunity for mutually beneficial conversations.

New York Apple Sales participates as a sponsor in the opening reception.
The company will also be sharing information with visitors at the show about its partnership in a new and expanding orchard operation, Fish Creek Orchards.
“We get to alert our customers to this exciting venture and keep them abreast of our expanding controlled production base and the new varieties we are planting,” said Stannard.
“We are also pleased to announce our partnership with Scotian Gold Cooperative, through which we will have exclusive sales responsibility for the U.S.,” she continued. “Scotian Gold produces and packs best in class Honeycrisp apples, and we are gratified to announce this at the SEPC Southern Exposure.”
Additionally, New York Apple Sales has been appointed by Coast to Coast Growers’ Cooperative as one of three U.S. sales organizations licensed to sell “KORU” brand apples from New Zealand.
“We are planting this exciting variety at our Fish Creek Orchards,” Stannard stressed. “’KORU’ is a managed variety discovered in New Zealand, and we are pleased to be involved in building the market for this superb apple.”
