FPFC luncheon has political theme
Occurring the day after the New Hampshire primary, the February luncheon meeting of the Fresh Produce & Floral Council in Southern California on Feb. 10 had a decidedly political flavor. Dave Puglia, executive vice president of Western Growers and a longtime lobbyist for the association, was the featured speaker. He discussed the recently concluded primary as well the political landscape for agriculture nationally and in California and Arizona. Puglia quipped that now is a great time to make predictions as to who will meet for the Democrats and Republicans in the November election… “but don’t write it down.”
