SAF 1-Day Profit Blast Feb. 27 in Texas
The Society of American Florists will hold a 1-Day Profit Blast in Austin, TX, on Saturday, Feb. 27, according to a news release. Four leading floral industry experts will teach how to drive online sales, maximize style and profits in event work, increase sales on phone orders, and control costs and discover more profits.
Jerome Raska, a Michigan-based floral designer, will headline the event with his presentation “Successful Events —from Concept to Completion,” detailing the design and business practices that will grow your event work. “Think of it as a 90-minute speed course on events,” Raska said in the release.
Speed learning is the theme of the entire eight-hour program, which is sponsored by the Bill Doran Co. In addition to Raska’s presentation, attendees will get practical sales, technology and money management guidance in three other programs: “Tech Strategies to Capture More Online Sales,” with SAF Chief Information Officer Renato Sogueco; “Treasure Hunt: Finding Your Hidden Profits,” with Derrick Myers, vice president at Crockett, Myers & Associates Inc.; and “CSI: Flower Shop — Live!” with Tim Huckabee, president at FloralStrategies.
There will also be time between sessions to visit a supplier showcase and to network with fellow attendees.
Due to popular demand and a new partnership with a few wholesale members, SAF is bringing its 1-Day Profit Blast to two more cities in 2016. Denver Wholesale Florist will sponsor an SAF 1-Day Profit Blast on April 16 in Cincinnati and on Oct. 23 in Denver.
