Grapple brand apples will star in the upcoming episode of "Food Factory USA." The television show, now in its fourth season, takes viewers on an up-close tour revealing how some of America’s favorite foods are made.
“We were delighted when 'Food Factory' contacted us about documenting the process to make our apples,” Grapple co-owner Todd Snyder said in a press release. “It is an honor to be showcased alongside other high-profile and successful national food brands.”

Over the course of four seasons, "Food Factory" has given television viewers an inside look at how some of America’s favorite foods are made, from Lay’s Potato Chips and Tootsie Pops to Wonder Bread and Campbell’s Soup.
“The 'Food Factory' team was totally intrigued by how we could transform ordinary apples into a delicious grape-flavored snack,” Snyder said in the press release. “We gave the 'Food Factory' crew full access to our entire proprietary production process for the shoot.”
Why did "Food Factory" choose Grapple? Co-owner Gary Snyder thinks it’s because “there is something special about Grapple that fires the imagination of consumers.”
“We get comments all the time from consumers speculating on how we make Grapple brand apples,” he said. “People want to see how products are made so it’s a great opportunity for us to show the world why we’re so proud of Grapple.”
Over the past four seasons, "Food Factory" has filmed 66 episodes highlighting food companies across North America. Each show typically features four segments showing the process of making different food products. The program is produced by Cineflix and can be seen in FYI TV and DirectTV in the United States and on Food Network Canada. The Grapple episode is scheduled to air Jan. 21.
