Trucco set to begin Biodynamic kiwifruit season with new packaging
AJ Trucco Inc., a year-round distributor of fresh fruits, dried fruits and nuts, announced the arrival of its Demeter-certified Biodynamic kiwifruit from Italy. Biodynamic kiwifruit is an addition to Trucco’s KiwiStar kiwifruit line, which already includes green, gold and organic kiwifruit.
“We are the first company to import this product into the U.S. and we are looking forward to this season,” Nick Pacia, president of Trucco, said in a press release.
Trucco’s Demeter-certified Biodynamic kiwifruit is organic kiwifruit that is grown in a holistic way, which benefits the farms, the people and the planet. “At Trucco, we view this fruit as the purest form of organic kiwifruit on the market,” he said.
To inform consumers of the benefits of Biodynamic farming, the company will be offering a vibrant new one-pound poly bag that highlights key facts about the Biodynamic process on the back. On this packaging, consumers will learn more about how the product is grown, how the farms are handled, and the overall positive affect that Biodynamic farming has on the environment. Starting the week of Jan. 18, Trucco will be offering the fruit in bulk and one-pound poly bags.
