GloriAnn Farms marks another successful year in charitable donations
For the fourth consecutive year, GloriAnn Farms and partner Five Crowns Marketing have made significant charitable contributions to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund and National Breast Cancer Foundation Inc. This year the companies were able to donate over $36,000 in total contributions.
In partnering with retailers for annual promotions, GloriAnn Farms and Five Crowns Marketing have raised awareness of these organizations and the work they do. For every case of value-added corn sold to participating retailers during the month of August, a donation was made to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, which this year totaled over $16,000.
“The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund has provided over $150 million for programs supporting military personnel and their families,” David Winters, president of the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, said in a press release. “Thank you for this very generous support and for caring so much for our wounded heroes in uniform."
Similarly, the Corn for the Cause campaign, benefitting National Breast Cancer Foundation, is supported annually during the month of October. Through the retail sales of value-added corn in specially marked packaging, which featured the familiar pink ribbon symbol, over $20,000 was donated this year to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
“Over the last four years, GloriAnn Farms has significantly impacted our mission to help women now and inspire hope to those affected by breast cancer,” NBCF co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Janelle Hail added in the press release. “The funds they raise have helped us provide thousands of early detection and patient navigation services for those in need in all 50 states.”
“Once again, we're proud to be able to give back to our community by helping these two important causes,” Mark Bacchetti, president of GloriAnn Farms, added in the press release. “Our thanks go out to all the retailers that made this another incredibly successful year.”
