Giorgio says it’s had nothing but great experiences at The New York Produce Show
There are many reasons why produce professional sing the praises of the New York Produce Show. One is that people love being in New York City this time of year. But business is the driver, and the New York Produce Show provides great opportunities to do business.
Bill Litvin, vice president of sales and national account manager for Giorgio Fresh Co., a leading mushroom producer headquartered in Temple, PA, said the company has exhibited every year this show has been in existence.
“And we are proud to be back again for the 2015 show this December,” said Litvin. “Visitors will find Giorgio Fresh at booth No. 216. We have had nothing but great experiences every year at this show. It provides us with a great opportunity to connect directly with the produce community.
He added that he likes the format and timing of the show, which is on Dec. 1-3 in New York City this year.
“New York City is a great venue, and the first week of December is perfect timing,” he said. “It is such an exciting time in the city during the holiday season, which provides attendees and exhibitors not only the chance for invaluable networking opportunities, but the chance to also explore the city and take in all of the holiday-themed sites that it has to offer when the show hours are over.”
At this year’s show, Giorgio Fresh will be promoting its new Mushroom Blenders and Portizza Stuffed Mushrooms.
The Fresh Mushroom Blenders provide 14-ounces of fresh mushroom pieces that are perfect to blend with ground meat for innovative and delicious twists to family favorite recipes.
“This product was created to help meet the soaring interest in ‘The Blend’ movement initiated by the Mushroom Council,” Litvin explained. “By swapping 50 percent of ground meat in favor of our Fresh Mushroom Blenders, recipes gain more texture, flavor and they retain their juiciness.”
He pointed out that each package of Fresh Mushroom Blenders also comes complete with a recipe for Blended Classic Beef Burgers, Blended Turkey Meatloaf, or Blended Meatballs.
“The other exciting new product is our Giorgio Portizza Stuffed Mushrooms,” said Litvin. “We will also be promoting these at the New York Produce Show. The innovative new product features the mushrooms that consumers have come to love from Giorgio, and now stuffed with a pizza filling. This is a delicious twist on two fan favorite meals: stuffed mushrooms and pizzas.”
