Village Farms adds produce veteran as director of strategic business and sales development
Village Farms, a leading producer, marketer and distributor of premium-quality greenhouse-grown vegetables, appointed Lyra Vance as director of strategic business and sales development, a newly created position.
Vance was previously with The Oppenheimer Group, where she managed business development for national produce accounts and brands for the last 14 years. She was also the regional merchandiser for Transfresh Corp., where she was responsible for the maintenance and expansion of Tectrol technology and usage in the Southeast region of the United States.
“We are extremely pleased to have Lyra on our team,” Bret Wiley, senior vice president of sales and sales operations for Village Farms, said in a press release. “Her highly respected reputation and experience in the greenhouse Industry is well documented among both retailers and suppliers in our business community. Lyra will be a key contributor in Village Farms’ aggressive growth plans going forward.”
Vance will be based in St Petersburg, FL, and will begin her new role with Village Farms on Nov. 16.
