Produce Made Simple trends at No. 3 on Twitter
The Ontario Produce Marketing Association hosted its first Twitter party to inspire and encourage Canadians to take advantage of the fall harvest and to eat more produce, and on Oct. 6 the #EatMoreProduce fall-harvest-themed Twitter party was in the top three trending items on Twitter.
The educational and inspirational Produce Made Simple consumer campaign has grown to nearly 20,000 followers on Facebook and over 2,500 followers on Twitter. Hosted by Food Bloggers of Canada, TV spokesperson Mairlyn Smith, and a team of regular Produce Made Simple contributors, the hour-long #EatMoreProduce party sparked great conversation about all things produce. The party generated nearly 7.4 million impressions from almost 300 participants.
During and after the party, Produce Made Simple saw a 200 percent spike in Web traffic, increase in followers on Twitter and buzz about the upcoming two Instagram Challenges, which will run over the next month.
