Colombia’s Proflora 2015 exhibitor space sold out
Proflora, Colombia’s biennial flower trade show hosted by the Association of Colombian Flower Exporters, has completely sold out its exhibitor space and will be 6,500 square feet larger than the last show, held in 2013, according to a news release.
The 13th edition of the international flower show will take place Oct. 28-30 at the Corferias, Bogota’s International Business & Exhibition Center, in Colombia. Exhibitors from more than 15 countries, including 74 new exhibitors, will showcase their products and services at the event. Seventy percent of the exhibitors are flower growers and breeders, and the remaining 30 percent are general suppliers and service suppliers.
There will also be an Outstanding Varieties Competition in two categories, one for growers and another for breeders. In 2013, 437 varieties participated in the competition.
Event organizers have scheduled visits to local flower farms, exclusively for international buyers, from 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Oct. 27. Proflora show hours are 12:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. on Oct. 28; 11 a.m.-7:30 p.m. on Oct. 29; and 11 a.m.-6:30 p.m. on Oct. 30.
Proflora 2013 attracted 1,600 international buyers from more than 60 countries and over 7,000 visitors to Bogota.
