Corn for the Cause campaign marks four years of raising breast cancer awareness

For the fourth consecutive year, GloriAnn Farms and partner Five Crowns Marketing are helping to fight breast cancer and raise awareness with their Corn for the Cause campaign. For every case of fresh sweet corn sold to participating retailers throughout the month of October, GloriAnn Farms will make a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation Inc. Having raised nearly $60,000 for NBCF over the last three years, GloriAnn Farms hopes to match the previous years’ donations with the 2015 campaign.
For the month of October, store shelves nationwide will feature specially labeled packs, some with custom pink trays, filled with "GloriAnn" and "Majesty" branded fresh sweet corn. Bearing the familiar pink ribbon symbol of Breast Cancer Awareness alongside the logo of the National Breast Cancer Foundation, these eye-catching packs stand out in any produce aisle.
"Corn for the Cause has become a proud tradition for us," Mark Bacchetti, president of GloriAnn Farms, said in a press release. "The response each year has been phenomenal, both from customers and consumers alike. It's our way of recognizing National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and bringing attention to the amazing work done by the National Breast Cancer Foundation."
"Breast cancer affects so many lives in our communities," Daren Van Dyke, director of sales and marketing for Five Crowns, said in the release. "If Corn for the Cause can help even one person through early detection or free support programs, it's been a success."
