Family Tree Farms adds specialty citrus line
Family Tree Farms in Reedley, CA, has announced a marketing alliance with Shiraz Ranch in Newman, CA, to market a line of specialty citrus products. The announcement was made Oct. 16 in a press release from Family Tree Farms.
The company "has been focused on a growth pattern recently, gearing up for a future that will enable them to expand beyond their current line-up of stone fruit," the release stated.
According to Family Tree Farms Director of Marketing Don Goforth, "Shiraz Ranch is the first citrus operation we've encountered that we feel meets our rigid standards for product flavor. Given the reputation we've established at retail and with consumers, we simply can't afford to go into any type of arrangement if the product is not absolutely top of the line."
Shiraz Ranch has a nearly year-round supply of citrus products, headlined by Satsuma mandarins, which the company will begin harvesting in early November, according to the press release. Shiraz also grows and packs Star Ruby and Oro Blanco grapefruit, pummelos, Navels, and Lisbon lemons.
