Mucci looks to raise $50K through 50K Ultramarathon
As an active member of its community, Mucci Farms is a proud supporter of numerous local charitable events. Now Bert Mucci, chief executive officer, Danny Mucci, president, Gianni Mucci, chief operating officer, and Nick Williamson, key account manager, aim to raise $50,000 for Make-A-Wish-Southwestern Ontario. Team Mucci has taken on the challenge to run a 50K Ultramarathon from Amherstburg, ON, to its corporate headquarters in Kingsville, ON.
“We wanted to begin a tradition of hosting our own annual fundraising event, to be able to contribute as a company and make a difference,” Emily Murracas, marketing coordinator, said in a press release. “We know the value of supporting the community that supports us.”
“Every time I think running 50K might be hard or almost impossible to finish, I think of the smiles on the children’s faces when their wishes are granted because of our fundraising efforts," Danny Mucci said in the release. "Then it makes our part seem easy, compared to their life challenges.”
“Speaking with people who have personally experienced the joy of having a wish granted really pulls at your heartstrings and confirms we have chosen to support an incredible charitable organization,” Murracas added.
All proceeds raised for this event will go to benefit Make-A-Wish–Southwestern Ontario. Make a Wish Foundation’s mission is to grant the wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
