Crown Jewels works with quality grower base
Crown Jewels Produce Co. has always prided itself in partnering with quality growers to move an array of fresh produce to its customer base. With the approaching fall season, Managing Member Atomic Torosian said business will be busy.
“Our fall lineup consists of Bartlett, Bosc, Comice, Forelle, Seckel and Red pears; and Gala, Fuji, Granny Smith, Braeburn and Pink Lady apples,” he told The Produce News.
Crown Jewels represents Doug Hemly of Greene and Hemly located in Courtland, CA. The company is a well-established, reputable grower/packer/shipper of apples and pears.
“We also represent Steve Barsoom of Ensher, Alexander and Barsoom,” Torosian said. “His farming operation at E & A Farms is based out of Mendota, CA.”
Additionally, the company markets grapes during the summer and fall seasons from a dozen growers in the San Joaquin Valley.
“So we are representing growers from Bakersfield to Sacramento and everywhere else in between during the summer and fall months,” Torosian continued. “These commodities will carry us through until we start back up in Mexico from our Nogales office for fall melon and veg items and grapes from Peru.”
