Giumarra honors Krause with expanded marketing campaign
A marketing campaign launched by Giumarra Bros. Fruit Co. Inc. in 2014 featuring retired grower Helen Krause will be expanded in 2015. “She was initially featured on plum packaging and POP, and we were so successful we decided to expand our marketing campaign to feature her baking expertise with Hachiya persimmons,” said Jeannine Martin, director of sales for Giumarra Reedley. “She will again be featured on packaging and recipe card inserts for our Nature’s Partner consumer pack persimmons available this fall at selected retailers throughout North America.”
The fall fruit season is shaping up nicely for Giumarra Bros. Fruit Co. Inc. “During the fall, we have Asian pears, quince, Hachiya and Fuyu persimmons and pomegranates,” said Martin. “Asian Pears have started, and the flavor is outstanding. Quality looks good on our fall items.” California fruit harvested and marketed during the fall comprises approximately 10 percent of overall company volume.
Giumarra added quince to its fresh fruit lineup this fall. “Utility grade product will be available on persimmons and pomegranates,” Martin added. “These eat great.”
Fruit is marketed under the “Nature’s Partner” label.
