It’s a vintage year for grape production at JP Dulcich and Sons in Delano, CA. Sunlight International Sales, the marketing arm for the farming business, is moving into the fall season with fruit of exceptional quality.
Sunlight International Sales will market grapes under the ‘Hobgoblin’ label from mid-September through October. “This fall, we will highlight Autumn King green, Scarlet red, Autumn Royal black, Vintage red, and the Luisco green varieties,” said Nick Dulcich who manages Sunlight’s sales and marketing division to ensure consumers worldwide can enjoy grapes fresh from JP Dulcich and Sons. “We expect to see good volume and quality this fall.”
Brother Peter Dulcich leads the growing and operations of 6,000 acres of vineyards and a multimillion-dollar, state-of-the-art storage and distribution center. Earlier this summer, Nick Dulcich said, “We have been upgrading our in-house packing abilities for more efficiencies.”
Approximately 70 percent of grape volume is harvested and shipped in the fall.
During the fall season, Sunlight International Sales markets grapes with its popular “Hobgoblin” label. “Our fall Hobgoblin program will commence in mid-September and will be in the marketplace through October. Seasonal packaging with POS materials are available to enhance sales,” Dulcich told The Produce News.
Grapes are also marketed under the popular “Sunlight” label and “Pretty Lady” brand, available during the summer months. Grapes are also sold under another successful label, “Pretty Lady for the Holidays.”
Grapes are marketed to retail and wholesale distributors throughout the United States. Product is also moved to Canada and Mexico as well as Australia, China, Asia and the Middle East.
