Natural Delights launching new Date Roll flavors
Natural Delights, a leading provider of Medjool dates, announced two new flavor varieties and a new package design for its popular Date Roll line.
Available beginning in August 2015, Natural Delights will offer its seasonal flavors — Pecan Pumpkin Pie Spiced Date Rolls and Dark Chocolate Orange Date Rolls — for a limited time, alongside its traditional date roll varieties — coconut Date Rolls and almond Date Rolls — which are available year-round. The company plans to launch a springtime flavor in March 2016.
Natural Delights Pecan Pumpkin Pie Spiced Date Rolls, available August through November, deliver fall flavors with fresh dates, pecans, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and allspice.
Natural Delights Dark Chocolate Orange Date Rolls, available December 2015 to March 2016, provide a sweet and salty treat for the holidays with fresh dates rolled in dark chocolate and orange chunks.
Each new Date Roll variety was chosen based on extensive consumer research that identified seasonal flavor trends and taste preferences. Natural Delights Medjool Date Rolls will offer both healthy and delicious on-the-go snacking options to meet the need of global consumers. The company said it will continue to develop new products throughout 2015 and into 2016.
“We’re committed to providing new ways for consumers to enjoy dates, and our seasonal date rolls, in combination with the traditional varieties, will give shoppers an opportunity to choose healthy and flavorful options throughout the year,” Dave Anderson, director of marketing for Natural Delights, said in a press release. “It’s our goal to provide snacks that get people away from the junk food aisles and into the fresh produce section.”
Natural Delights will also roll out new packaging on all Date Rolls beginning in August 2015. New labels will communicate simplicity and freshness of ingredients through photography, while the same clear 12-ounce package will allow consumers to see the quality of product prior to purchase.
Natural Delights Medjool dates have been named an official “heart healthy” food by the American Heart Association.
