Prime Time International is excited to share details of its colored pepper program with visitors at this year’s PMA Foodservice Conference & Expo. “Prime Time is appealing to the foodservice segment because we have year-round availability of colored peppers,” Director of Marketing Mike Aiton told The Produce News.
“This consistency of supply, in addition to fixed price options, gives operators great comfort and gives them one less thing to worry about,” he added. “Additionally, we control all aspects of the process from growing, harvesting, packing and shipping with oversight from our own long tenured produce professionals.”
Aiton said the Monterey, CA, venue can’t be beat. “Attendees love the location of Monterey, which is the perfect area for a summer getaway,” he commented. “While the facility is bursting at the seams to accommodate the vendors and the attendees, there seems to be a real reluctance to change the venue to be able to accommodate more people. The entire mood is casual and relaxed, making everyone comfortable and accessible. Historically, this has been one the most important and rewarding conferences we attend.”
Booth No. 85 will be manned by Aiton and Sales Representatives Bill Spidell and Jim Auchard. “We continue to expand our production in all growing areas to keep up with the demand,” Aiton said. “Our new state-of-the-art packing house on the Central Coast of California is now up and running, providing enhanced sizing and quality consistency. Mini sweet peppers continue to be the fastest growing item we produce, but have yet to gain a real foothold in the foodservice trade”
A new recipe book featuring this popular item will be available at the booth.
