Robinson Fresh to feature fresh tropicals
Robinson Fresh will capitalize on the breezy nature of summer by featuring freshly-prepared samples of a delicious recipe that blends comfort-food qualities with the flair of fresh tropicals. “Tropicals have a more dominant space than ever, and we see this as a continued area of growth for foodservice,” said Sales and Marketing Manager Lara Grossman. “Pairing tropical produce with more familiar foods is an intelligent way to introduce the fresh flavors into the American palate.”
Robinson Fresh was well represented at last year’s PMA Foundation 5K Race for Talent. Company staff is gearing up for another strong showing during this year’s PMA Foodservice Conference & Expo. Grossman said the venue is an important one. “The Foodservice PMA continues to be one of those can’t-miss produce shows,” she told The Produce News. “With the recent challenge to increase the presence of produce on the plate, this show has become increasingly relevant to those of us in the foodservice industry. Our customers are keenly aware of the positive impact that fresh fruits and vegetables provide to their menu offerings, and our goal is to align with them as they continue to make produce a more dominant part of their menu concepts. Of course, we also enjoy spending time with our customers in this familiar setting, which is also adjacent to one of the country’s most prolific fresh produce production regions.”
Robinson Fresh and its parent company, C.H. Robinson, continue to focus on driving efficiencies “through a well-orchestrated supply and logistics solution,” Grossman added.
Once again, the company is excited about participation in the Sensory Experience Contest with a recipe that is one of 10 dishes to be tasted by a panel of judges.
Not ready to rest on its laurels, company personnel plan to strap on their corporate sneakers to give other contestants a run for their money during the PMA Foundation 5K Race for Talent.
“This year, we hope to extend our three-year record of garnering awards for our participation and spirit,” Grossman added.
