Allegiance Retail Services names two senior-level managers
Iselin, NJ-based Allegiance Retail Services announced June 22 the appointment of two senior-level managers.
Michael Conese has been appointed to vice president-center store. In his new role, Conese will oversee and direct all merchandising, procurement and assortment activities in the grocery, dairy and frozen food departments at Allegiance.

Prior to joining Allegiance, Conese served for the past seven years in various management roles at Fairway Markets. Before that, he worked in merchandising for Pathmark Stores Inc. In addition to overseeing of center store, Conese will also be responsible for the relationship with Daymon Worldwide, Allegiance’s private label partner.
Jeffrey Spector
Jeffrey Spector has been appointed senior director-DSD. In his new position, Spector will supervise all DSD activities, which includes direct store vendors, the UNFI relationship, international/ethnic product vendors and strategic pricing area.
Spector has served in many management roles, most recently with A&P, and was also a senior manager leading the sales force for several entrepreneurial companies, as well as an earlier and long career with Pathmark Stores, serving in various senior merchandising roles.
