Freshway Foods introduces fresh smoothie kits that feature fresh-cut produce
Freshway Foods will introduce new fresh smoothie kits at the upcoming United Fresh show. The new smoothie kits contain fresh-cut produce and feature chef-inspired recipes.
“Today’s consumers are busier than ever, and finding the time to wash, cut and peel fruits and vegetables can be a challenge,” Kirk Norman, director of development for Freshway Foods, said in a press release. “We have taken the guesswork out of making smoothies by providing delicious recipes and the perfect portion of produce. Consumers simply add liquid and ice and blend.”
The new smoothie kits are sold under the company’s "Garden Savours" retail brand and contain 12 ounces of individually packed fresh-cut fruits and vegetables in a single-serving bag. Recipes printed on the bag provide information about recommended liquids, as well as optional add-ins for consumers who want to add protein or other nutrition to their smoothies.
Four varieties of the smoothie kits are offered: Earth Essentials, Earth Tonic, Island Energy and Summer Pearadise. Each variety features antioxidants, phytonutrients and fiber.
