Cultivate ’15 show slated for July 11-14 in Ohio
AmericanHort announced the focus for Cultivate ’15 —to be held July 11-14 in Columbus, OH — is “Changing the Game.” The horticulture and floriculture industries are changing at a rapid pace and Cultivate ‘15 will offer strategies and ideas for navigating the shifts, according to a news release.
Four days of educational sessions led by industry experts and insiders will cover topics such as technologies for greater efficiency, consumers in the new millennium, recent regulatory and legislative updates, and game plans to drive sales. The Solutions Marketplace, the eight-acre trade show floor, will feature all the newest industry technologies, innovations and services. New this year is the Retail District where attendees will find the latest offerings from retail vendors and suppliers, along with the debut of AmericanHort’s initiative looking at the future of retail.
“It’s All Fun & Games” is Cultivate’s florist-only program that will provide solutions to grow your business. There will be hands-on workshops, stage shows, a floral design contest and vendors in the florist expo.
Two Cultivate keynote speakers include Curt Steinhorst, a generational expert, and Nancy Fire, the design director for the HGTV “HOME” brand. Steinhorst’s keynote, “The Generational Divide,” will highlight the challenges and strategic opportunities inherent in the situation where, for the first time in history, four generations are working side-by-side. Fire’s talk, “Winning a Place in Consumer Lifestyles,” reminds professionals how important it is to be relevant as a brand in today’s world.
More than 10,000 people attended Cultivate ’14 last year and more are expected this year, so there will be plenty of opportunities to network with fellow professionals and attract new customers.
