RBest continues strong growth with ‘We R Nuts,’ ‘El Sol’ lines
“We R Nuts” is RBest Produce Inc.’s snack line of gourmet candies, dried fruits, dried vegetables and numerous nut varieties.
The line is comprised of over 350 items packaged in convenient resealable clamshells. Customers have the option of displaying their own company or brand name logos on the label.
Jasmine Hines, director of marketing and advertising for the Port Washington, NY-based company, said while “We R Nuts” is the company’s snack line of gourmet candies, the company continually promotes its Tropicals’ division.
“With ‘El Sol’ brands, our sister company in Miami, we are constantly looking to provide a wider variety of tropical and specialty items,” said Hines. “Through El Sol, we receive produce from countries like Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Jamaica and Mexico, and all are shipped direct to the RBest warehouse. El Sol brands is the premier tropicals’ provider for the East Coast.”
RBest also handles a full line of complementary items for the produce department, including salad dressings, croutons, fruit and vegetable juices and tofu varieties.
“And we offer a full line of organic products on a year-round basis,” Hines noted.
RBest is a wholesale produce distributor that supplies a wide range of fresh fruits and vegetables, including many of the top brands, to independent supermarkets and various chain stores.
The company celebrated the grand opening of its new corporate headquarters and warehouse on Long Island in 2013, having previously been located in the Bronx. The state-of-the-art warehouse spans approximately 70,000-square-feet and is constructed with the latest technologies to focus on supporting quality fresh product and being environmentally friendly.
But the company is growing so fast that even more space is needed.
“Our warehouse facility is currently under construction to acquire additional space,” said Hines.
RBest is also looking forward to the strong locally grown product season, saying, “locally grown is a big hit with our customers, and we work with local farmers every chance we have.”
In November 2014, RBest produce was granted PrimusGFS Certification.
“And we will continue to maintain these food-safety certifications into the future,” Hines added.
