AIFD National Symposium to celebrate milestone anniversary
Registration is now open for the American Institute of Floral Designers’ National Symposium, “Journey,” slated for June 30-July 4 in Denver, CO. The event will mark the fiftieth anniversary of the organization and a special celebration is planned.
“Every AIFD member’s journey is different,” said symposium coordinator Marie Ackerman in a news release. “And that’s the beauty of coming together each year and sharing techniques, best practices and inspiring ideas.”
The five-day event will feature stage presentations; a half-day expo of floral industry suppliers/book fair marketplace; a student competition; the annual members meeting; a silent auction; two celebratory dinners; an awards/induction ceremony and more.
New this year are hands-on learning experiences taught by some of AIFD’s top instructors, including Kevin Ylvisaker, Sharon McGukin, Randy Wooten and Wendy Andrade.
Prior to the Symposium, the AIFD Professional Floral Design Evaluation will take place on June 29 for aspiring designers endeavoring to achieve AIFD’s Certified Floral Designer designation.
