Duda Farm Fresh Foods to promote ‘Dandy’ ‘Simple Salad in Seconds’
Duda Farm Fresh Foods’ “Dandy” brand “Simple Salad in Seconds” is a flavorful variety of petite Salanova lettuce variety heads that deliver three times more leaves than any other lettuce.
Nichole Towell, director of marketing for the Oviedo, FL-based company, a leading producer, packer and shipper of high-quality produce, said that “Simple Salad in Seconds” offer consumers many benefits.
“They are versatile and easy to prepare,” she pointed out. “Home cooks can simply cut, rinse and add to their favorite recipes for a simple and delicious salad solution. ‘Simple Salad in Seconds’ combines freshness, flavor, crunch and convenience. It’s the ideal product for use in salads, wraps and more.”
Duda Farm Fresh Foods will be exhibiting at Booth No. 1515 at the CPMA Convention & Trade Show, April 15-17 in Montreal.
On hand to greet and meet with visitors will be Rick Alcocer, senior vice president of fresh sales; Rich Uchida, western vegetable sales manager; Jason Bedsole, eastern sales manager; Paul Huckabay, western citrus sales manager; Tim Ross, regional sales manager; Sam Duda, vice president; and Elena Hernandez, marketing manager.
With close to 90 years of growing experience, Duda Farm Fresh Foods is the world’s largest grower and processor of celery.
Towell explained that fresh-cut celery and radish products are sold under the “Dandy” brand and are available year-round to the company’s Canadian customers.
“We offer ‘Dandy’ fresh-cut celery sticks in two sizes: tall or small,” she said. “They arrive washed and ready-to-use or consume. Available year-round, our celery sticks are grown with a sweeter flavor, greener color, less strings and longer shelf life. Celery sticks are perfect for school lunch programs, cafeteria use or home use as a healthy snack.
“We also offer ‘Dandy’ sliced and diced celery,” she said. “These also arrive washed and ready-to-use. Available in crescents, bias or diced cuts, this fresh-cut option reduces labor, waste and storage costs. Our sliced and diced celery is the perfect ingredient for soups, salads, sauces or stuffing recipes.”
Towell noted that the CPMA Conference & Trade Show, which draws predominantly Canadian retailers and foodservice operators, presents the company with the opportunity to highlight its products to Canadian customers in an intimate gathering.
Duda Farm Fresh Food continually makes updates and improvements to better service its customers. And its growing practices make it a true guardian of the earth.
“We have invested in working alongside nature to perfect growing the sweetest, crispiest celery varieties available,” Towell stressed. “Our research and processes give us the capability to grow in different regions of the United States without compromising the deliciously sweet flavor consumers enjoy.”
