Susan Packard to keynote at IFE in June
The International Floriculture Expo has announced in a news release that Susan Packard, co-founder of HGTV, will be the keynote speaker for the International Floriculture Expo that will take place June 8-10 at McCormick Place in Chicago. The 2015 show will be co-located with United Fresh and the Food Marketing Institute’s FMI Connect and is expected to draw 14,000 attendees.
“Susan Packard is a thought-leader,” said Bob Callahan, group vice president for the show’s organizers Diversified Communications, in the release. “She has a unique approach to creativity, branding, and innovation that resonates with our audience.”
A founding network executive of the company behind HGTV, Food Network, Travel Channel, and other cable channels, Susan Packard’s approach to leadership, branding, and innovation has helped her build — and lead — organizations that both consumers and employees support loyally. Her new book, New Rules of the Game, helps others to do the same and her keynote address complements hundreds of companies showcasing products from all segments of the floral industry.
The IFE is an annual event where the floral industry gathers to discover new products, source new suppliers, network, and learn. It brings together high-volume buyers from the floral industry, connecting them with companies that offer an array of products and services.
“From fresh flowers to bows and picks, it is the only show in North America where the floral community can access every products they need to expand their business,” said Callahan in the release. “The educational program in unlike any other. We bring state-of-the-art trends and industry thought-leaders together to really show our audience the science behind turning floral into a revenue generator.”
The trade show and educational program attracts mass-market retailers, retail florists, designers, garden centers and nurseries, event floral designers and other retailers of floral and foliage products.
“There are three primary reasons why people attend the show,” said Callahan in the release. “Floral professionals can source, learn and connect.”
